Important Note about Summer Registration
*CLOSED COURSES FOR SUMMER:  The following courses are full and we have added a waitlist option in case students drop:  HPE I, HPE II, Economics and Personal Finance and Spanish III.  Students who want to join the waitlist can create an account (or login) if they are a former student and join the waitlist.  Click Online Registration in the left menu and follow the instructions.
It is very important that all student accounts are created or updated correctly.  New students have a 3 step process: create learner account, verify/confirm via email, then enroll in a course.  Current or previous users MUST complete or UPDATE their registration profile inside the COURSE CATALOG - including current grade level, number of courses, special notes, etc...
All enrollment instructions should be read and followed carefully so your course will be available to you in June.
Changes to VHS HPE starting Summer 2016
The HPE office has created new standards and supporting documentation for VHS@PWCS HPE I and HPE II courses.  Those changes are reflected in the following documents and summarized here:
  • Fitness hours are now 70 in fall and spring and 60 in summer
  • The 3 predefined categories have been removed and students are allowed to self-select three activities and get instructor approval.  Daily limits are imposed and each of the 3 cannot count for more than a third of the total hours.
  • Parents can no longer sign off on fitness hours.

General Program Information

VHS Courses are approved by the NCAA Non-Traditional Course Rules
The VHS course will show on the student's base school transcript.  When students enter their coursework on the NCAA portal in "My Coursework" - "Schools" they need to add us as a separate entry.  In the school section insert: "Virtual High School at PWCS" Location = Haymarket  If the name is entered incorrectly, or if it is mistakenly entered as "additional coursework" they may request more information which will delay approval.
